3 Reasons You Should Be a Niche Blogger

Posted July 29th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

In an earlier post, I wrote about the 3 drawbacks of niche blogging. I explained why it may not be your cup of tea. I also shared that anyone who has been a niche blogger long enough will find that these drawbacks are actually opportunities in the making. Ready to go over the list of reasons with me?

Drawback #1. Being in a niche means you have a smaller audience. The smaller your audience, the fewer the people who will be searching for your keywords on the serps.

3 Drawbacks of Niche Blogging

Posted July 28th, 2009 by admin 1 Comment »

I believe in niche blogging. I believe in focusing my efforts on a small, highly specific part of a huge industry. And, if you’re a frequent visitor here, no doubt you’ve caught on to the fact that I’m a fan of niche blogging mainly because I made my first money online using Andrew Hansen’s Niche Marketing on Crack.

However, this doesn’t mean I’ve decided to turn a blind eye to the limitations of having a niche blog. Yes, there are limitations, and I’m going over them in this entry. It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t. Like everything else in the world, keeping a blog on a very “subject” has its drawbacks. Here are some of them.

Firepow - The Ultimate Niche Marketing Software?

Posted July 27th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

We all need content. The problem is getting it. Even with the most powerful niche marketing software at your fingertips, you’d still need to write your content yourself – costing yourself time – or pay someone to do it for you, costing money. Either way, you spend something of value to get value.

But what if you could find a way around the drudgery that many consider article writing to be? What if you could find some way to set up a software so that takes care of putting new content on your blog when and how you need it? No, we’re not talking of splogs here. We’re talking of relevant articles you can get for free, backlinks you can get for free, and a way to vary the content you put on your blog – and yes, you guessed it – for free.

What Is Niche Market Strategic Planning?

Posted July 26th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

In the bricks and mortar world, we see niche marketing all the time, but we only use it when we really have to, for one reason – shopping in a niche market can be expensive!

In normal, mainstream retail sales, supply and demand keeps prices fairly stable and affordable. You know that if you want a television, you can go to Target or Wal-Mart or any number of stores. Those stores are all competing against each other for your business and this keeps prices down.

A Beginner? Get the Ball Rolling With Google AdWords Training

Posted July 25th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

Are you a beginner? Google AdWords training is something that you should utilize before you actually start creating ad campaigns on this wonderful pay per click advertising system. Below are some very simple things you should keep in mind as part of your Google AdWords training, before you get started.

  • The keywords you choose have everything to do with how successful you will be with your campaigns. Avoid really broad search terms like “skin cream” and instead, use something that is more targeted to the exact product you are promoting. This will help cut down on getting massive amounts of impressions but no clicks.

Utilize Pay Per Click Adwords to Increase Sales

Posted July 24th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

Making a living online is hard work. Forget what you may have heard from others. Some will tell you online ads tell the tales of young people working only an hour a day and making hundreds of dollars without any effort at all, but don’t let them fool you. It does take work. But as the saying goes, “Word smarter, not harder.” So should you.

There is one way to work smarter and that is to utilize the knowledge that other online entrepreneurs have developed and make it work for you. One way that many successful marketers have found to maximize views, clicks, and sales is by taking advantage of pay per click adwords.

What Is Your Niche Strategy?

Posted July 23rd, 2009 by admin No Comments »

Most of us, at one time or another, get into a marketing rut. We find a sales approach that works and we stick with it. We become complacent with the level of sales we are achieving without ever thinking about the future. Albert Einstein once said, “I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.” He would have chewed on what little is left of his hair if he had any idea how soon the future really does come!

With the future breathing down your virtual neck, it’s vital that you have a strategy for now and the future. The latest thinking in online marketing is the development of an overall niche strategy, encompassing all parts of your budget, with a view to what will be happening three months from now, a year from now, and five years from now.

Niche Promotion: The Key to Online Financial Freedom

Posted July 22nd, 2009 by admin No Comments »

The Internet is an amazing tool. It has placed practically every piece of information ever produced at our fingertips! We can download music and videos, buy products in auctions that are taking place on the other side of the world, chat with friends we have never met in person, and even go to school. Most people use the Internet for these purposes, but some people – the smart ones – use the Internet to make money and create financial freedom.

The online landscape has changed over the past few years. You can no longer just put up a website, and hope people will drop buy and make a purchase. Everything you do must be intentional and with the purpose of getting clicks, getting views, and making sales. You can’t waste a single second on marketing efforts that don’t work. Proof of this are the many would-be marketers who lose more money than they make.

Is There Such a Thing as Niche Marketing on Crack?

Posted July 20th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

Before we start talking about niche marketing and how you can use it to your advantage in your online marketing efforts, we should establish what a niche market really is. In the real word (not online!), niche marketing not only exists, it’s king of the marketing realm!

Let’s talk about golf. The overall market for golf products exists in sporting goods. This is the mainstream market. The larger “big box” sporting goods stores do carry golf products of all types. If you are a golfer looking for a typical product, you would go there because you would get a good price and have a wide selection of items. A smaller market within the golf market is the women’s golf market. An even smaller niche market is the women’s golf glove market. There are companies that ONLY make women’s golf gloves. That is a niche market. Once you have established your niche and proven to yourself that it is viable, that there is a market for your product and those people have money to spend, then it’s time to move your marketing efforts to the next level.

Utilizing a Niche Concept for Profits

Posted July 19th, 2009 by admin No Comments »

For those of you who are new to online marketing, a niche concept is one that is highly specialized and designed to attract a very limited market. It’s also highly profitable. In general, products or services that are designed for a niche market are the result of refining one’s market down to the point where they are no longer competing with anyone. Or, if they are, then competition stays at the point where everything is profitable for everyone.

An example that I often give is that of swim goggles. Swim goggles, as a product, seem very ordinary. They can be found in most sporting goods stores (during a particular time of the year), and sometimes in a store such as Wal-Mart or Target. But, if you are someone that swims year-round, you need googles year-round, so you might go to your local swim store. But, being a small swim store, they only have a limited number and type of goggle in stock. Because of this, there are online stores that sell ONLY swim goggles, year-round, in any color, shape, brand, or style that anyone could ever want – this is a niche market.
